Right now we are witnessing the highest levels of human displacement on record. According to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, currently there are over 82 million people that have been forced from their homes because of conflict or persecution. This means that together we are living in a world where every two seconds a person is forcibly displaced due to events beyond their control. These staggering numbers include over 26 million refugees, over half of whom are under the age of 18, and many of these people will never be able to safely return home.
